We provide access to activities and pre-service opportunities for young people between the ages of 13 and 20.
Marching Band
Taking to the stage and representing your squadron, or playing at parades, is a vital part of the cadet experience, and if you've never played an instrument before, this is your chance to chalk up another skill that air cadets can help you discover and make the most of.
Flying and Gliding
Joining the Air Cadets opens up lots of opportunities, including the chance to fly! It’s our aim to get you airborne as often as possible, as a passenger in a light aircraft, a glider or even on-board RAF aircraft such as our Typhoon fast-jet or a Chinook helicopter.
Adventure Training
Adventurous Training is an essential part of the Air Cadet's training syllabus and the place where team effort really matters - you'll build new friendships, and learn to rely on the other people you're with to get the job done. It also lets you show off your leadership qualities.
The Air Training Corps (ATC) is the RAF’s ultimate challenge for youth. It provides aviation-related training for young people of both sexes aged between 13 and 18, as well as promoting a range of activities from gliding to rock climbing. Ramsgate ATC is a great place to make friends, build confidence and learn new skills.
This is the first official website of the 2433 (Ramsgate) Squadron, provided by our Civilian Committee and maintained by our cadets.
Here are some great reasons to find out more and get involved with Ramsgate ATC:
- Learn new skills such as survival skills and map reading.
- Take part in residential activities such as annual camp and training events.
- After enrolment, all cadets are given the opportunity to go flying or gliding
- Joining the band is optional but cadets are given the opportunity to learn an instrument.
